Fantasy League Rules

This fantasy Cricket league is available to both players and non players. The proceeds are all going to the club. The rules are simple-

1.      Entrance fee £6.

2.      Pick 7 players for your team from the player list (three batsman, two bowlers and two all rounders).

3.      Each player has a points rating. When added together for your seven players it must not exceed 40 points.

4.      These players will score points for you based on their performances during the season in the Scarborough Beckett League Div A and Derwent Valley League Div A.

5.      For each Saturday league match the players will receive a score as follows –

·        Batsman – every 10 runs = 1pt, 40 to 69 runs = extra 1 pt, 70 to 99 runs = extra 3pts, 100+ runs = extra 6pts.

·        Bowlers – every wicket = 1pt, 4 to 6 wickets = extra 1pt, 7 to 10 wickets = extra 3pts, hatrick = extra 6pts.

·        Fielding – 1 catch = 1pt.

·        W.Keepers – Stumping = 1pt, Catch = 1pt.

6.      Transfers - If required, unlimited transfers are available throughout the season. You must pay £2 for each transfer. You can reselect your whole team for £6.

7.      Prizes – Season Winner - £50, 2^nd Place - £25, 3^rd Place - £10, Monthly Winner - £10 (May, June, July, Aug).

PRIZES - The monthly winner is the person with the highest total for all the games which have been played in that calendar month. In the event of a tie for any of the prizes, the prize will be awarded in this order: 1. To the entrant whose team scored the most actual runs (as opposed to fantasy batting points) : 2. To the entrant whose team took the most actual wickets (as opposed to fantasy bowling points).

SELECTION - The first league match is not included in the score so that more entries can be taken. The lists of players are to the best of our knowledge available for the majority of the season. If you select a player who doesn’t play in a match you will score 0 points for that player. For Rained-off matches, the points accumulated will count.

TRANSFERS – The transfer(s) must be made and paid for before the start of the forthcoming game. Money to be paid to the captain. You are responsible for making sure that your team rating does not exceed 40 points. Disqualification could apply. No transfers can be made after the 25^th August for league games. If you are reselecting your team, it must be done all in one go. Late entries may be accepted however zero points will be awarded for any matches that have already been played.
