Wykeham lost their penultimate indoor league match, with a below-par performance against Staxton on Sunday.
Wykeham's form in the Indoor league failed to continue, due to a defeat by Staxton. Staxton batted first and looked comfortable. Phil Hull bowled well for Wykeham, given it was his first indoor game. Although they started fairly slowly, the runs accelerated towards the end of the innings and they ended up with 155.
Run-outs were the main feature in the Wykeham innings, with most of the batsman falling victim. Kev Thompson was the only player to retire, which was never going to be enough to challenge. Hopefully, there will be a better performance for our last game.
